Pune has been recently flooded with a lot of unlimited buffets places. The concept is simple, you pay a fixed price and relish all the items they serve without any restrictions. Most of the places are near the 700/- price point. The latest addition to this list of places is BBQ ON FIRE..(Zomato)

The place is located in WTC, Kharadi. A buzzing place because of the IT companies and the food scenes here are top notch. Places like Effingut, Toss and many more are the highlights and a must visit place. The food scenes lacked a place where one can go with their family, and BBQ on Fire is the right place if you are planning to do so. The place is perfect for small family get together, birthdays, and anything special when it comes to good food with our loved ones.


We were served nice lemon tea, which was good and had a nice aroma to it. You could feel the freshness and the positive vibe from this particular welcome drink.


Once we settled, we were ready for the feast!  We had a number of items and trust me to be honest, the majority of the items were good. The ones which didn’t work out well were re-done and sent back and it had been improved. From the starters, we had their BBQ Chargrill Chicken, Tangdi Mumtaz, Chicken Angara, Crispy Chicken Sesmi,  Prawns Kalimirch.


From the lot mentioned above, I personally loved the cripsy chickne sesmi, it was perfect on taste, despite being deep fried it had still the juicy chicken intact. The Chicken Angara was a bit of a letdown but the second serving was done nicely.

I did not dive into the vegetarian starters, but the did look pretty neat from the presentation. The veg starters included: Paneer Khada Masala, Hariyali Mushroom, Chatpata Bhutta, Aloo Papdi Tikki, Veg Wonton and Sweet chily family Pineapple. I did love the wontons served here. Do try it out for sure.


The soups served here are the lemon coriander soup & the chicken clear soup.  The chat options here are their Sev batata puri/Bhelpuri/Golgappa/Dahipapdi Chaat. I tasted the dahipapdi chaat, it was good, the dahi was not too sweet and the overall dish was nicely balanced with all the strong tamarind chutney and the regular burst of flavors.


The have a tawa live section which serves:

  1. Fish fry
  2. Kheema Pav: Good option to try, however, do stuff yourself or else you shall miss out on the mains!
  3. Kaleji Kidney


For the first time, I tried their jalebi with dahi, it turned out the combination works really well just like the famous jalebi rabdi.


The paneer chili here was absolutely perfect. Topped with chopped spring onion, the paneer made you crave for more despite me being a hardcore non-vegetarian.


The desserts here included Moong Dal Halwa/Angoori Gulab jamun/Black Forrest pastry/Pineapple Pastry/FlavoredMouss and Thanda kheer! So many options to try that you shall literally go sugar numb! I liked the Angoori Gulab Jamun. Something new and for the first time a very nice change from the regular gulab jaam!
